OK, Dales, so just exactly what are the quintessential climate and soil features that make for great Sangiovese?  We've noticed the same sensitivity here in Napa Valley, which is just as diverse as Chianti in soils/climate, and we're grateful that Rodeno clone Sangiovese is very happy in our estate vineyard.  But we'd sure like to understand why...
